Respondus

NOTICE

The Respondus 4.0 campus-wide license tool for creating Canvas quizzes is no longer available for download starting August 1, 2024. Licenses for any current installations of the Respondus 4.0 application will expire on July 31, 2024. If you need to use Respondus 4.0, IT Academic Technology Services has devices with single user versions available for instructor use in Pearson 116. For availability information, please visit the IT-ATS website. Respondus also offers a 30-day single user trial if needed.

The University of Delaware has obtained a campus-wide license for Respondus 4.0 software valid through 7/31/2024. Respondus 4.0 is a tool for creating and managing exams that can be published directly to Canvas or printed for paper-based exams. Exams can be created offline using a familiar Wind [two_third_last]ows environment and can also be moved from one LMS to another.

Additional information about the Respondus software and the Respondus Test Bank Network (a free service that allows instructors to access Respondus-compatible publisher test banks) is available at www.respondus.com/respondus.

Our license permits you to install a copy of the Respondus software on a home or travel computer. However, you are not permitted to provide the Respondus software or the password information to anyone who is not affiliated with our institution. Such an action is a violation of our licensing agreement with Respondus and the law.

You will need the information in the "Respondus Setup Instructions and Installation Password" file in addition to the "Respondus (Windows)" installer file available from this page to successfully install the software.

Please note that you are not able to download the software directly from the Respondus website, nor are you able to use the password to activate a copy previously downloaded from their site.
