University of Delaware students, faculty, and staff can download software licensed for their use from UDeploy.

ENVI+IDL

Cost:
All faculty, staff, and students are required to pay ($125/academic* year) to license a single seat of ENVI and/or IDL. Payments are accepted through the “Request for Service - IT Software Licenses” webform. These contributions cover the cost of the site license, which minimizes per-unit costs.
ENVI is an application for geospatial image processing, visualization, and analysis. IDL is an interactive scientific language, often used for developing visualizations from complex data. We license software by the number of maximum concurrent seats. By downloading Harris Geospatial software you confirm that you have read and will comply with the following:
    • Labs: Harris Geospatial software is licensed by the number of maximum concurrent seats. Labs should pay for each workstation where the software is installed since all machines may be used simultaneously.
    • Individuals: An individual who has the software installed on an office machine, a home machine, and a laptop should only pay for one seat, since they will not be using all machines simultaneously. We ask that licensees use their best judgment on the numbers of seats they require, according to the honor system.
    • All: Upon processed payment, you will be provided with License Server information. New server is online for 2018-2019 academic year. License must be renewed annually*.
Please contact consult@udel.edu for additional clarification.
*Licenses run for an academic year. The cost per license is the same throughout the year, regardless of when purchased.  There is no partial-year credit available.
FYI - In 2015 Exelis Visual Information Solutions was purchased by the Harris Corporation, becoming Harris Geospatial Solutions. Source: Wikipedia.org
