Overview
- The University of Delaware faculty, staff and students have access to JMP Student Edition - statistical discovery software with automated analytic techniques for data mining and predictive modeling.
- The current version of JMP Student Edition is 18.2.1. JMP® Student Edition includes all features available in the current version of JMP and JMP Pro. An overview of its capabilities is detailed here: https://www.jmp.com/en/software/capabilities
- JMP Student Edition is available for Windows 64-bit and macOS systems.
- The software is free for qualified students, instructors, and academic researchers currently enrolled or employed at a degree granting institution. Renew – at no cost – every 12 months for as long as you are eligible.
- By downloading this software, you agree to use the JMP software for instructional and research use only and that you will not distribute JMP to others.
Download and installation instructions
- Go to the JMP Student Edition website here: https://www.jmp.com/en/academic/jmp-student-edition
- On that page, click on Get JMP for free!
- Next, click on Get started at My Jmp.
- Enter in your UD email address. A verification code will be sent via email. Retrieve it, then enter it here.
- Completely fill out the form on the next screen, and click on Next.
- On the subsequent screen, click on the appropriate software for your computer to download the installer.
- Find the installer program where it was downloaded onto your computer and double-click on it to install.
- Locate the installed JMP Student Edition application on your computer and run it.
- The first time you run the software you will be asked for your UD email address, and there may be a second verification sent via email.
- JMP is now ready for use.
