University of Delaware students, faculty, and staff can download software licensed for their use from UDeploy.

Installing IBM SPSS Amos for Windows at the University of Delaware

Each installation requires a unique IBM SPSS Amos license authorization code for the current academic year. 

Note: YOU MUST HAVE ADMINISTRATIVE PRIVILEGES ON THE COMPUTER.

  1. Uninstall all previous versions of Amos.
  2. Download the Amos installation and any patch files from the UDeploy site (http://udeploy.udel.edu).
  3. Install the software by double-clicking the downloaded installation file
    • Do not double-click the downloaded file.  Right-click it and select Run as Administrator instead.
  4. Accept the defaults in all installation windows that appear, however, you must manually accept the license agreement
  5. Installing Amos window: Be patient. There may be periods when you do not see any visible indication of installation activity.
  6. Amos will automatically open. Close Amos.
  7. Authorize AMOS
    • From the start menu, find AMOS (version) License Authorization Wizard and right-click on it.  Select Run as Administrator.
      • Note – you can also navigate to the directory listed below and right-click on the AMOS (version) License Authorization Wizard and select Run as Administrator
      • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM SPSS Statistics\IBM SPSS Amos (version)
    • In the Product Authorization window, select “Authorized User License…” and click on Next
    • In the Enter Codes window enter the license authorization code for IBM SPSS Amos: 20-character code on confirmation e-mail
    • Finished window: click OK.
    • IBM SPSS Amos is now licensed.
  8. You may now delete the downloaded installation file.
